What is the price of hot-dip galvanizing services?
The price is calculated per kilogram of hot-dip galvanized material, depending on several factors like: quantity to be galvanized, material dimensions, thickness and the surface of the material, ranging between HRK 3 to 6. If the material is intended for a centrifuge, the price goes up.

How long does one wait for completing of hit-dip galvanizing process?
We will deliver the zinc coated material within of 3-7 days from receiving it, but if in case of urgency, we can adapt and perform zinc coating earlier, providing an appointment and booking in advance.

What size of the element can be hot-dip galvanized?
The dimensions of our zink kettle are 6200 x 1200 x 2500 mm, in which a material of rather smaller dimensions can be galvanized. If the element is larger than the kettle volume, contact us and we will try to find a technical solution for its galvanizing.

Can the material be painted after hot-dip galvanizing?
It is possible, using special paints for zinc.

What is the difference between hot-dip galvanizing and zinc plating?
The result of galvanic zinc plating is coating of pure zinc thick between 5 and 30 µm on the material, applied with the use of electricity.
The hot-dip galvanizing is performed by immersing the basic material into the molten zinc at 450-460 oC. The coating is ten times thicker compared to galvanic zinc plating, amounting from 55 to 200 µm. With this method of corrosion protection zinc from molten mass is alloyed with iron from the basic material. Layers are created, with the percentage of zinc increasing towards the surface of the material, being 100% at that point. The advantage of this method of corrosion protection is better adhesion of the zinc coating and longer lasting corrosion protection.

Is the cleaning of the material necessary before hot-dip galvanizing?
Before hot-dip galvanizing an old layer of paint or zinc must be removed from the basic material. The removal of rust is not mandatory, since it is a part of the hot-dip galvanizing process.

Is hot-dip galvanizing possible with the material already being painted or galvanized?
Yes, providing that the paint or zinc is removed by sand blasting or pre-pickling. If you have galvanized goods that need to be regalvanized, please contact us in order to check is there a possibility for pre-pickling the elements of given dimensions.

Is there a warranty for hot-dip galvanized material?
We do not issue warranty sheet. However, we do issue a quality certificate, if requested in advance. The certificate contains all required information and the thickness of the coating on the element. It is possible to issue the certificate in English language.
